With its range of flexible, configurable meeting spaces, equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual tech, Avani Atrium Bangkok Hotel has long been favoured by business guests.

Now the city-centre, MICE-optimised hotel welcomes visitors with a raft of enhanced technology to make conferences, events and stays run even smoother. 

The AvaniSHIELD programme, rolled out at all 32 Avani properties, includes heightened hygiene and sanitising standards, led by new technology, from digital check-in and a concierge app, as well as the use of copper, UVC light and HEPA-grade air purifiers. 

This brave “new normal” starts even before arrival. A new digital check-in system allows guests to fill out registration cards on their mobile devices en route. Upon arrival, they will find their room key waiting for them at reception, where Avani team members will be on hand with a warm, contactless welcome. Using the Digital Concierge App, guests will enjoy direct contact with the Guest Services Team via live chat, and be able to browse menus, order in-room dining and book off-property experiences. Prior to check-out, guests will be able to settle their bill via a secure online payment system and receive the receipt via email.

Additional new measures include the use of antimicrobial copper protection film on high touch surfaces and Ultra Violet C sterilisation boxes to disinfect key cards, stationery and other high touch objects. HEPA-grade air purifiers are used as an extra step in the cleaning process, to remove airborne viruses, bacteria and allergens with 99.99% effectiveness.

The AvaniSHIELD measures are implemented in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
